FIELD: methods of transfer of liquid helium. SUBSTANCE: helium line is preliminarily separated into immovable and movable pipe lines. Immovable pipe line is inserted into cryostat-consumer and is chilled with cold helium. Normally-closed valve is fitted on movable pipe line; it is tightly connected with immovable pipe line and is chilled, after which helium line is inserted into accumulating reservoir and transfer is effected by moving the movable pipe line up to the stop and opening of normally- closed valve. Immovable pipe line is made in form of angular joint whose horizontal section is provided with vacuum valve and connection with fluoroplastic seal. Movable pipe line is made in form of angular joint with flexible central part. Its vertical end is provided with vacuum valve and normally-closed valve made in form of slide valve with lapped segments. In manufacture of device, outer and inner tubes are formed according to surfaces of strengthening rings and are welded step-by-step by argon-arc welding.
