FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves following known sequence of main stages of real operation performed by neurosurgeon using structural members of stereotactic system like CRW-FN with high accuracy of manipulations being preserved. The method for modeling computer tomography-assisted stereotactic operations is implemented by using features of special purpose phantom device having insert having main opening and bushing. Relative position of the insert and bushing enables one to carry out particular stages of the operation. The bushing is T- shaped and has opening drilled in its center to facilitate target point detection. The device has special purpose cover with opening drilled in it. This feature enables one to model computer tomography-assisted stereotactic operations with stereotactic apparatuses not adapted for being used with tomograph devices.
