FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical phantoms for teaching surgical manipulations when working with stereotaxic neurosurgical equipment. The interactive medical phantom is an anthropomorphic model of the human head, neck and upper chest with imitation of the skin and bones of the skull and is made with the possibility of attaching a stereotaxic frame with a localizer thereon. The phantom contains removable platforms for applying burr holes. Contrast marks are used for visualization by computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging during phantom calibration. The system for non-contact assessment of positioning of the stereotaxic instrument is located in the intracranial cavity and is connected to a decision unit. The decision unit controls the phantom and contains a built-in software module for modifying stereotaxic tomography to obtain a modified stereotaxic tomography of the phantom. The stereotaxic equipment is fixed to the phantom head model. A method for simulating the intracranial space of a phantom using neuroimaging data of the human brain during conduct of a training stereotaxic operation is disclosed.
