METHOD OF MARKING THE PATIENT'S HEAD DURING OPERATION WITH INTRAOPERATIVE FRAMELESS NEURO-NAVIGATION Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61B34/20

Abstract RU 2607404 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, neurosurgery of deep regions of the brain, can be used for diagnosis and not-traumatic surgical treatment of glial brain tumors, for performing functional stereotactic operations in the patients suffering epilepsy, parkinson disease and a row of mental disorders. For marking of the patient's head using frameless systems neuro-navigation and rigidly connected with patient's head contrast markers at first is produced an individual dental impression of the patient. To it is attached structure, having four vertical rods located on sides and at the front in relation to the patient's head. On the rods rigidly fixes at least 5 markers, suitable for imaging using MRT and KT. Using the dental impression of a patient with the given structure, performs preoperative planning of stereotaxic intervention by means of tomography and a neuro-navigation system, at the same time directly prior to surgery the impression teeth with the given structure is removed from the mouth of the patient.

EFFECT: method provides non-invasive conditions and timely execution of preoperative patient's brain tomography during preparation for operation using frameless navigation systems, while maintaining high accuracy of guidance to target point of the brain.
