METHOD OF ARTICLE SURFACE TREATMENT AND DEVICE FOR ITS EMBODIMENT Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: treatment and cleaning of oil equipment surface, for instance, sucker rods and tubings at different stages of oil production process; applicable in oil producing industry. SUBSTANCE: method includes initiation of arc discharge in vacuum and treatment of surface to be cleaned with arc cathode spots. First, oil equipment is subjected to coarse treatment by charging it into sluice section of vacuum chamber with inclined bottom and liquid waste collector. Vacuum chamber is evacuated to pressure to 100 Pa, heated up to 200 C for heat treatment of equipment and exposed to vibration. Then, oil equipment after said treatment is transferred to electric arc module section. After vacuum-arc treatment and vibration in accumulating section, where article is cooled, pressure in sluice section is restored, and sluice section is charged with next article, which is treated in similar way. After filling of accumulation section, vacuum is removed and treated articles are discharged. Device for embodiment of the claimed method has vacuum chamber made in form of sections separated by vacuum seals; sluice section provided with heaters and settlers; electric-arc section with electric-arc modules, and accumulating section provided with cooler. Each section has safety valve and vacuumizing system with filter for trapping of aerosols and volatile hydrocarbons. Each sluice and electricarc section has vibrator.
