FIELD: steel continuous casting molds. SUBSTANCE: mold has shaped cavity with multiple cones, said cavity is open at both sides. Cross section area of cavity at casting side is larger than that at side of billet outlet. On surface of shaped cavity there is at least one zone with increased heat conduction factor; said zone has recesses with triangular, trapezoidal and round cross sections. Recesses are arranged crosswise relative to casting direction. Spacing between centers of recesses consists 1-10 micrometers. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency, improved quality of cast rod, increased service life period of mold. 11 cl, 2 dwg
