FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a liquid cooled crystalliser for a continuous-casting machine with a shape-generating body made from material with high alloy thermal conductivity. The body of the crystalliser has cooling channels, passing from its top to its bottom side. A cooling channel consists of two longitudinal sections, longitudinal axes of which are differently orientated relative each other, and the distance between the cooling channel and the surface of the body, meant for contact with molten metal, varies. Longitudinal sections are at different angles to the vertical towards the shape-generating part and they are joined in the metal mirror zone. In this zone the cooling channel has a tipping point with a bend.
EFFECT: invention allows for establishing the required intensity of cooling depending on the heat load.
