FIELD: construction engineering; erection of pipe lines under conditions of permafrost, marshes, marshy territories where stable position in trenches filled with water is required. SUBSTANCE: ballast weights are made in form of rigid rectangular frames with commercial polymer fabric cloths, nonwoven synthetic material, or other materials secured on them to avoid penetration of solid through cloths. Frames are inclined at angle of up to 10 deg. towards pipe line; flexible couplings are made in form of two soft cords connected with sides of frames which are located at distance from pipe line, thus ensuring reliability and stable position of frames when pipes are acted on by buoyancy force in trench filled with water. If necessary, plate may be provided with anti-washing-out partitions made from commercial fabric or nonwoven synthetic material. EFFECT: enhanced stability of pipe line position in trenches filled with water; reduced consumption of materials; enhanced economical efficiency. 3 cl, 2 dwg
