SUBSTANCE: technical solution is related to mining. Solid body is installed on test bench between armatures of capacitance detector EMI. Solid body is deformed by application of external force with the help of loading device, in which force element is movable. EMI signal is formed in process of crack formation of deformed solid body under load. EMI signal is transformed with the help of capacitance detector EMI and registered. Deformation of solid body is carried out by means of its cutting, tearing off cut particles from it by means of shift and creating cracks and microcracks in deformed solid body. As force element of loading device they use cutting tool with longitudinal arrangement of teeth, for instance hack saw, to which forward or reciprocal motion is imparted. EMI signal is formed as sum of EMI signal created by heat electrons that flew from surfaces of cracks and microcracks produced in deformed solid body in process of cut particles tearing off, and EMI signal created in process of oscillation of particles and section with positive charges that remained on surface of cracks and microcracks after fly-off of mentioned heat electrons and on the surfaces of torn-off particles.
EFFECT: simpler and cheaper method.
