FIELD: radars, radar navigation, camouflage; in-situ manufacture of landmarks, range marks, targets; camouflage and simulation of ground (surface) objects. SUBSTANCE: plates are made of composite wood materials such as bakelite-treated plywood, at least 5 mm thick, with junctions made in them in the form of slits; then one of surfaces of each plate is exposed for short time to heat flux of high surface density until electricity conducting surface layer is obtained; after that plates are cooled down, surface layer produced as result of heat treatment is secured by covering it with shielding layer such as varnish coating of low dielectric constant, and plates are joined together. For imparting polarization properties to reflector thickness of shielding varnish coating of plate forming base of radar reflector is chosen proceeding from condition that τ = 0,044λ, where λ is wavelength of sounding radar; mentioned coating is covered with insulating material layer of thickness τ = 0,165λ and dielectric constant ε ≈ 15...30. Upon jointing plates are treated with antiseptic material to enhance service life of reflector. Outer surfaces of plates are treated with fireproofing material such as diammonium phosphate solution upon exposure to heat flux so as to protect them against spontaneous ignition. EFFECT: reduced cost for in-situ manufacture and assembly of reflector. 5 cl, 1 dwg
