METHOD FOR PRODUCING CYTOLOGIC PREPARATION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing material under study into culturing medium with anticoagulant agent added, cleansing the material from undesired admixtures using 3-5 min long settling and removing big size particles with following dilution of the selected cell suspension in fresh portions of the culturing medium before placing the sample on the prepared microscope slide. Several samples of given cell concentration are prepared and natural cell sedimentation over the slide is carried out. The so produced preparations are dried in the air medium, fixed and stained according to standardized method. EFFECT: high accuracy and information capacity of cytological examination results.
