PLANT FOR MANUFACTURE OF HOLLOW ARTICLES Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: manufacture of hollow articles, such as bottles, flasks, reservoirs, etc. from preheated thermoplastic blanks (molds) by blowing method. SUBSTANCE: proposed plant includes bed frame, mold consisting of fixed member rigidly secured on bed frame and movable member and mold member closing mechanism. It is provided with manipulator mounted on bed frame radial motion. Movable mold member is mounted on fixed mold member for turning through angle of 90 deg. by means of hinge whose axle is fitted in radial thrust bearing. Mold member closing mechanism is preferably made in form of pneumatic cylinder whose body is secured on bed frame add rod is articulated with movable mold member. Plant is provided with pusher for forcing-out finished articles made in form of pneumatic cylinder; fixed mold member is sectional in construction; molding portion of bottom is mounted linear motion and is spring-loaded. Plant is also provided with unit for locking the mold members which is made in form of wedge mounted on pneumatic cylinder rod and used for engagement with taper holes in brackets rigidly secured on mold members.
