FIELD: mechanical engineering; motor-in-wheel. SUBSTANCE: according to first design version, north and south pole permanent magnets uniformly spaced in circumference are mounted on two ring-type magnetic circuits in stator of electric motor. Cross two-pole electromagnets connected through current collectors with distributing commutator at alignment of unlike poles along axial lines are secured on outer rotor. Magnetic circuit plates are arranged between pairs of aligned poles. Distributing commutator is made for converting direct current into pulse unidirectional current and is secured on stator frame so that axial of copper plates coincide with axial lines of stator permanent magnets. According to second design version, permanent magnets alternating in polarity are secured on two ring-shape magnetic circuits in electric motor stator. Electromagnets are made in form of salient quadraelectromagnets, and distributing commutator is made for converting direct current into pulse bidirectional current.
