FIELD: glass industry, more particularly manufacture of sheet silicate glass, e. g. in baths of glassmaking furnaces. SUBSTANCE: method comprises stabilizing process for manufacturing glassware by optimizing heat diathermancy of glass melt, and process of manufacturing glassware is thus stabilized. Glass samples are used to determine glass transparency values, optical density value is calculated, ferric and ferrous oxide concentration are then determined and ferrous oxide to ferric oxide ratio, ferrous oxide and total content of ferric oxide in glass formulation are determined; these values are used for correcting blend formulation with reducing agent. Redox potential of components is attained by certain ratio of iron oxides in glass formulation. Reducing agent is black oil in certain amounts depending on ferrous oxide in glass sample. EFFECT: more efficient making method. 4 cl
