FIELD: optics. SUBSTANCE: system of distribution of optical fibers has at least one set of modules for interconnection of optical fibers and one zone of storage of optical fibers as minimum located in one specified set of interconnection modules. Superfluous lengths of one or greater quantity of optical fibers passed between proper interconnection modules are stored in zone of storage. Zone of storage has row of supports which are spaced apart by at least part of width of set of interconnection modules so that each odd length of optical fiber can be directed into zone of storage and laid around one support as minimum. EFFECT: simple and compact storage of superfluous lengths of optical fiber. 18 cl, 4 dwg
