FIELD: manufacture of rolled products. SUBSTANCE: roll support has chock, four-row conical roller bearing, outer thrust ring and inner spacer ring of front sealing unit. Spacer ring of front sealing unit is pressed to inner ring of roller bearing through second ring screwed onto third ring connected through spline to roll. Front end of third ring abuts against semicircular members secured inside bore at roll end. Roll support is further provided with thrust washer and cover for rear end sealing unit. Four-row conical roller bearing has large effective section owing to increase of bearing outer ring diameter by 30 mm and of roller bodies outer ring diameter by 10 mm at optimal ratio of bearing and roller bodies outer ring diameters. Diameter of seat in support chuck is increased by 30 mm. Inner spacer and outer thrust rings of front sealing unit, as well as end cover and thrust washer of rear sealing unit are made so as to define axial labyrinth-type sealing units formed by annular bores and projections for preventing plastic thick lubricant leakage from bearing and getting of cutting liquid into lubricant. Circular fat grooves are formed in end cover. Roll support of such construction is suitable for manufacture of bimetal products of different thickness by cold rolling method, and has improved adhesion of antifriction layer with steel base by increased load-bearing capacity of roller bearing.
