FIELD: mechanical engineering, applicable in repair of precision parts of fuel equipment of diesel engines. SUBSTANCE: metal recesses and bulges are formed on the worn-out surface of the part by the method of surface-plastic deformation. The surface-plastic deformation is accomplished by an air-abrasive jet. Then the apexes of roughnesses are smoothed out to the required size.
