FIELD: control of formation of piles and other foundations made by injecting binding materials in ground. SUBSTANCE: control of liquid column characteristics (form and presence of defects in body) is effected by probing column body with aid of acoustic video pulse (in absence of carrier frequency) in direction from column axis to generating line followed by recording acoustic pulses reflected from liquid column body - ground interface and/or dispersed in case of their spreading. Spectra of acoustic pulses received in scanning liquid column body in radial and axial directions are used to determine unknown characteristics.
