FIELD: mechanical engineering; valve-timing gears with direct drive of valves. SUBSTANCE: proposed valve- timing gear of internal combustion engine has timing valve with valve spring fasteners, camshaft and tappet in form of cup, all mounted in cylinder head. Tappet provides uninterrupted mechanical coupling between end of valve stem and cam of camshaft. Additional damper featuring high loss factor is installed between guide bushing, support washer and cylinder head. Damper is made from pressed metal porous (fiber) gauze material or rubberized metal or other metal porous (fiber) material of similar physical and mechanical properties.
