FIELD: radiation control of objects of environment. SUBSTANCE: additional measurements of power of exposure dose from samples of salt of potassium chloride and from material of sample as well as corresponding powers of exposure dose of background are conducted after determination of composition of radionuclides in sample and measurement of power of exposure dose from sample and background in geometry required for measurement. Obtained measurement results are used as basis to calculate value of gamma radiation factor. EFFECT: use of this procedure simplifies determination of gamma radiation factor for samples of various types and dimensions and of complex geometry as necessity of conducting beta-radiometry of preparations and need in beta-radiometric installation fall away.
