FIELD: radiation control. SUBSTANCE: method involves determination of proportional of radionuclides in sample, measurement of gamma radiation dose in selected geometry, measurement of gamma radiation dose rate from background, beta-radiometry of preparation of same sample made on radiometric facility whose beta-radiometry reference factor is determined by beta-radiometry of potassium chloride salt; gamma measurement factor is found from formula using results of gamma measurement and beta-radiometry. EFFECT: provision for dispensing with reference radiation sources in determining gamma measurement factor; reduced cost of mass radiation monitoring of environmental objects due to dispensing with reference radiation sources. 1 tbl
