FIELD: alcohol production. SUBSTANCE: process is carried out by epuration and rectification in rectification on installation consisting of epuration and rectification columns feeding alkali and potassium permanganate solutions. In epuration stage, 5% alkali solution is fed onto 24th plate of epuration column providing epurate alkalinity 0.04- 0.05%. 1% potassium permanganate solution is fed into epuration column still volume flow rate 15 l/h. After that, 20-30% epurate from epuration column still is fed onto 10th plate of rectification column. Fusel alcohols are drawn off 69-71% ethanol concentration zone from 17, 19, 21, and 23th plates of rectification column. Into distillate line, denaturation agent is introduced. Method can be used in production of ethyl alcohol for household chemical goods and for perfumery and cosmetic industry.
