FIELD: rolling, production of sheets, plates and strips. SUBSTANCE: given process of strip rolling includes transmission of electric current and plastic deformation. Pulse electric current is transmitted after deformation nucleation site of deformation. It is transmitted through cross-section of rolled strip normally to its surface. In addition pulse electric current is transmitted along strip at distance of 100-150 mm. Pulse current has amplitude from 6.0-50.0 kA, pulse length 0.05-0.15 s, pause duration between pulses 0.05-1.5 s. Invention provides for growth of plasticity of surface of layers with preservation of rolls. EFFECT: raised quality of rolling and reduced power consumption. 2 dwg
