FIELD: control of feed of rock drilling machine. SUBSTANCE: method includes measurement of pressure in pressure pipeline of feed motor actuated by pressure fluid medium. When measured value is below preset threshold value, flow rate of pressure fluid medium supplied to feed motor is regulated, i.e. motor feed speed is regulated. If measured value of pressure is above preset threshold value, feed is regulated by regulation of pressure of fluid medium supplied to motor. For this person, pressure pipeline of feed motor is provided with pressure pickup. The latter is adapted for control of supply of pressure fluid medium supplied to motor so that when pressure is below preset threshold value, feed is controlled by regulation of flow rate of pressure fluid medium, and when pressure value exceeds the preset threshold value, feed is regulated in compliance with pressure of pressure fluid medium.
