FIELD: methods of control of drilling by drilling machine. SUBSTANCE: in realization of claimed method, position of drilling is controlled by pressure acting on, at least, one piston movable in direction of drilling machine front end from position corresponding to optimal impact point. In this case, for preservation of contact of drilling bit with drilled rock, pressure acting on, at least, one piston movable in direction of drilling machine front end from position corresponding to optimal impact point, is built-up of such value that force developed by this piston for pushing the drilling bit is less than force of drilling machine feed. According to the other version of claimed method, pressure acting on, at least, pistons of one group is controlled for changing drilling position. Drilling machine has, at least, three groups of pistons in which length of working stroke rises from the first to third groups. For control of drilling, bit shank is installed in preliminarily determined preset impact point by supply of working fluid at sufficiently enough high pressure exerted on, at least, those pistons of three groups whose working stroke corresponds to impact point determined so that force developed as a result, acting on shank exceeds force of drilling machine feed. Invention also covers drilling machine having working fluid channels separate from one another and leading to piston working spaces and means for supply of working fluid to working spaces behind pistons and located so that pressure acts on them irrespective of one another. As a result, drilling is controlled rapidly and simply, and machine impact power may be accurately calculated. EFFECT: higher efficiency of method. 17 cl, 5 dwg
