FIELD: pipe-line transport. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to aids for detection and location of leaks in pipe-line with collector pipe-line which is penetrable to substance and is coupled to pump and substance sensor. Technical result of invention lies in possibility of detection of substances, not necessarily acidic, for instance salt water. To achieve this result there is used metal wire connected to negative pole of source of constant voltage, laid outside of collector pipe-line and along it. If salt water comes from leak in pipe-line gas, specifically, hydrogen is generated on metal wire thanks to electrolysis. Then maximum of concentration of gas in collector pipe- line is detected and its location is determined. EFFECT: possibility of detection of leaking substances. 13 cl, 5 dwg
