FIELD: systems for making wire by splitting band material. SUBSTANCE: line includes arranged successively: uncoiler, apparatus for butt welding, band accumulator, multirow disc shears for splitting, unit for working wire and coiling unit with guiding mechanism. Multirow wire accumulator is arranged in front of coiling unit. Unit for working wire has holes for wire; diameter of that holes is less than diagonal size of wire cross section. Unit for working wire has cutters with axial opening for wire and with cone or flat front face; said cutters are mounted with possibility of rotation around axle and with possibility of fixation in selected position. Cutters may have cross section in the form of regular polyhedron. Unit for working wire is mounted with possibility of reciprocation lengthwise motion in direction from wire. Invention prevents occurring of surface flaws of wire at drawing it for making round cross section wire. EFFECT: simplified line with enhanced operational reliability. 4 cl, 5 dwg
