FIELD: wire production by slitting belt material. SUBSTANCE: line includes uncoiler, aggregate for butt welding, belt accumulator, multirow disc shears for slitting; apparatus for treating wire and winding apparatus with guiding mechanism. In front of winding apparatus multirow roller-type wire accumulator is arranged. Wire accumulator includes for each wire upper shaft mounted in wire accumulator with possibility of rotation by means of first rolling bearing assemblies; carriage having weight suspended to it and mounted with possibility of vertical motion; lower shaft mounted in carriage with possibility of rotation by means of second bearing assemblies; upper and lower sets of rollers. Each roller is mounted respectively on upper or lower shaft with possibility of free rotation. Each roller may be mounted on shaft by means of rolling bearing assembly. In order to increase volume of multirow wire accumulator the last may have several upper and lower shafts with set of rollers on each shaft.
