FIELD: sewage purifying equipment. SUBSTANCE: biological filter has casing with filtering charge, feeding pipeline axially aligned with casing axis and serving as flotation column, dividing chamber arranged above filtering charge and equipped with distributor, collecting chute, froth discharge pipeline and reactive sprayer with froth driver fixed to sprayer, distributor formed as tubes within which narrowing nozzles are positioned. Inner curved helical grooves are formed in nozzles. Nozzles are arranged at an angle of 45 deg to horizontal plane and have diameters reducing downstream of water flow. Vertical grooves are extending along perimeter of nozzle casing, and spiral members are arranged in grooves. Filter of such construction eliminates formation of stagnation zones and provides for uniform distribution of sewage water over the entire area of filter charge.
