FIELD: powder metallurgy, particularly preparation of powders by spraying melts of aluminium and magnesium or alloys thereof using pneumatic nozzles. SUBSTANCE: material comprises, wt.%: talc, 40-50; magnesite, 50-40; aluminium oxide, 3-4; magnesium oxide, 2-3; calcium oxide, 1-2. Method comprises mixing powder-like blend components, pressing semifinished product and machining thereof. Prior to pressing operation, 15-20% of binding material are added to blend; after pressing is over, semifinished product is dried first for 2-3 hours at room temperature, then 2-3 hours at 200-300 C and semifinished product is thereafter impregnated with liquid glass solution and once again dried. Binding material is liquid glass, pressing is carried out in mold for manual pressing. Nozzle has high thermal and corrosion resistance, low heat conductivity and is readily worked manually. EFFECT: improved properties of the material. 5 cl, 2 dwg, 1 ex, 1 tbl
