CLAMP FOR HOLDING OF SUCKER ROD STRING Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: oil producing industry, particular, devices used in performance of repair of pumping wells for holding sucker rod strings. SUBSTANCE: the offered device has body with mouth for polished rod. Installed in body is die for contacting polished rod by one side and contacting body over slip parting and slip top oriented in direction of gravity force of sucker rod string, by the other side. Besides, there is one more slip pair which is located symmetrically to polished rod and having slip parting between die and slider. The latter is installed in body for forced motion to overlap body mouth. Slip pairs are functioning on rolling friction. EFFECT: higher reliability of operation, convenience in servicing in combination with promptness, and preservation of polished rod from damage due to special design of slip pair based on rolling friction and use of slips with special working surface that increases reliability and service life of casing-head stuffing box whose proper operation does not affect ecology of environment. 2 dwg
