FIELD: applied electrochemistry, operation of chemical sources of electric energy, repair of alkaline cells. SUBSTANCE: process of regeneration of alkaline cell electrolyte includes stages of mechanical filtration, dilution of electrolyte with distilled water, decarbonization and concentration of cleaned electrolyte. Original electrolyte is diluted to concentration 30.0-50.0 g/l. Decarbonization stage of diluted electrolyte is carried out by its filtration through anionite AB-17 in OH form which regeneration is conducted with pure cell electrolyte with density of 1.21-1.25 g/cu. cm with subsequent processing of reclaimed product. Stage of concentration of cleaned cell electrolyte should be conducted by way of two-stage electrodialysis with production of brine having density between 1.17-1.18 g/cu. cm and diluent returned to previous stage of technological chain. In this case optimum proportion of flows of diluent and brine through electric dialyzer amounts at first stage to (4.0-5.0):1 and at second stage (2.0-2.5):1.
