FIELD: processes of purification of underground water for drinking and public water supply systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed technology deals with methods of purification of underground water from iron, manganese and hard salts in particular. It can be used to win desalted water for preparation of electrolyte for storage batteries. Technology of thorough purification of underground water includes stage of successive mechanical filtration, Na zeolyte softening with regeneration of cationic exchanger by 5-7% solution of sodium chloride and electrodialysis demineralization. Before stage of mechanical filtration water is subjected to aeration. Mechanical filtration is carried out in pressure filter filled with inert material. Quartz sand, quartzite, albite, granodiorite, scorched rock and so on are used in the capacity of inert material. At stage of electrodialysis demineralization proportion of flows of diluent Qd and brine Qb is ( 3-5 ):1.
