FIELD: graduation and periodic verification of horizontal and vertical reservoirs. SUBSTANCE: device includes two ultrasonic level gages with floats and temperature sensors located in reference gaging tank and in reservoir to be graduated, three-way electromagnetic valve for delivery of liquid, suction, pressure and bypass lines, liquid counter and computer. Computer software makes it possible to perform continuous filling of reservoir to be graduated through liquid counter to level corresponding to nominal capacity of reservoir. In the course of filling, level of filling H is measured when specific volume V of liquid passes through counter realizing dependence H = (V). Prior to graduation, reference gage is filled and error of counter is determined at each rate of filling. Computer automatically forms graduation chart of reservoir taking into account error of counter and linear expansion of material of reservoir depending on temperature of liquid being poured.
