FIELD: subsurface routing and wiring of multicore communication cables and junction boxes thereof. SUBSTANCE: junction box that may be used for aluminum- sheathed and coated cables, corrugated steel or lead sheathed communication cables has cable splice of cores to be joined disposed in stack with moisture repelling filler. Film stack is then wrapped in PVC tape to build up compressive force on water repelling filler that reliably seals the splice. Cable aluminum sheath is restored in junction box by using four aluminum strips, 2.5-4 mm thick, with rounded-off ends for tight fitting through cylindrical part to aluminum sheath of cable ends being spliced or to aluminum pipe with narrow contact bosses on its ends which are secured to aluminum sheath on each side of junction box holding cable ends being spliced with aid of two worm-type steel clips. EFFECT: simplified design, reduced cost, facilitated wiring dispensing with costly wiring equipment. 7 cl, 9 dwg
