ANTENNA Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2174273 C1

FIELD: radio engineering; radio broadcasting at very high frequencies. SUBSTANCE: antenna is, essentially, half-wave resonance-tuned loop dipole. Antenna has two quarter-wave dipole legs bent so that they form together circle, as viewed from top; vertical metal support whose axis passes near center of mentioned circle; dielectric holding bar mounted along diameter of mentioned circle and used to secure dipole legs on support. Ends of dipole legs are also bent vertically and arranged so that one end is gashing by 30 to 60 deg. over other end. EFFECT: improved uniformity of directivity pattern in horizontal plane. 3 dwg
