SUBSTANCE: invention refers to inductor employed in welding or heating of thermoplastic material or current-conducting stowage material covered with thermoplastic material. It includes current conductor connected to HF power supply source placed in case made of pressed metal material based on powdery iron which granules are coated by outer current insulation layer of iron dioxide before pressing. Given inductor displays capability to keep current conductor at fairly low temperature despite HF welding. EFFECT: prolonged service life of inductor. 7 cl, 1 dwg
