FIELD: individual sanitary and hygienic articles. SUBSTANCE: toothbrush has head with bristles, handle, actuating unit and power unit. Toothbrush handle has pellet receiving cavity within which vibrations are created during teeth cleaning. Vibration sensor and control unit are placed inside handle. Control unit is connected to vibration sensor, power unit and actuating unit. Actuating unit may be made in the form of at least one light emitting diode or in the form of series-connected electronic musical unit and sound converter. EFFECT: simplified construction and increased efficiency by automatic switching of actuating unit for effecting hygienic procedure. 3 cl, 2 dwg
