FIELD: preparation of liquid aqueous paints of powdered components and water, possibly in building site. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes walking frame supporting mixing unit and metering unit and control board for controlling said units. Mixing unit includes motor and dissolver that may be sunk into mixing tank by means of spring suspension. Metering unit includes motor, metering hopper, transporting member and charging funnel. Method for preparing paints comprises steps of pouring water to tank, loading powder to charging funnel, feeding predetermined quantity of powder to tank, descending dissolver and dispersing powder in water.
