FIELD: medicine, molecular biology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to virus- -mediated transfer of DNA and method of the enhanced effectiveness of transduction of hemopoietic and other cells induced by retrovirus. Method involves infection of cells in the presence of fibronectin or its fragments. Fibronectin and its fragments enhance retrovirus-mediated transfer of genes in cells, in part, in hemopoietic cells including committed cell- -precursors and primary hemopoietic stem cells significantly. Invention relates to also the improved methods of somatic genetic therapy based on enhanced transfer of genes, hemopoietic cells population and novel constructions designated for enhancement of retrovirus-mediated transfer of DNA in cells and their use. Invention provides development of effective transfer of genetic material in mammalian cells without dangerous results and limitations.
