FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves laying protective casing under obstacle. Pipeline is placed in protective casing so that annular clearance is formed between them. Ends of section of annular clearance directly under obstacle are sealed to form cavity in mentioned section. Heat barrier is provided in mentioned cavity by passing heat-carrying agent through it and/or by heating heat-carrying agent located in cavity with aid of heater installed in mentioned cavity. EFFECT: enhanced safety of main traffic artery on top of pipeline; reduced maintenance charges for main traffic artery. 3 cl, 1 dwg
