FIELD: automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: proposed invention can be used in valve timing systems of internal combustion engines, including diesel engines, to control movement or adjust position of intake and exhaust valves. System has valve operating mechanism and guide, ultrasonic vibrations transceiver and controller which is made for setting valve trajectory with due account of information of affecting parameter. Valve operating mechanism is made controllable, and output of transceiver of ultrasonic vibrations is connected to first input of controller. Output of controller is connected with control input of valve operating mechanism. As a result, valve is constantly exposed to action of force from follow-up system compensating for influence of disturbances and brining trajectory of valve movement close to ideal. EFFECT: improved accuracy of valve trajectory control, enlarged operating capabilities of control system. 7 cl, 7 dwg
