FIELD: metallurgy of non-ferrous metals, particularly, processing of substandard zinc containing industrial products from concentrating mills and collective copper-zinc concentrates. SUBSTANCE: method is carried out by roasting material at temperatures between 1020 and 1080 and subsequently rotary kiln processing coarser roasted material, thus making it possible to reduce content of iron in waels-oxide and mechanical dust removal and also content of zinc in clinker.
