FIELD: fire prevention technology in spacecraft, space technology. SUBSTANCE: gear determining parameters of burning of materials at zero gravity has combustion chamber with side and face walls which houses n tested specimens (n=1, 2,...k) and two igniters with electric spirals mounted on holders for face and side ignition of tested specimens. Second igniter with electric spiral is mounted on holder for advance of electric spiral towards side surface of tested ignited specimen. Igniter is placed in plane passing through longitudinal axis of tested ignited specimen whose opposite surface is fitted with substrate of heat-resisting material. EFFECT: expanded capabilities for study of process of burning of non-metal materials while ventilation flow by-passes them with certain speed. 1 cl, 4 dwg
