FIELD: preparation of hydroinsulating material for soft roofs and for hydroinsulation of basements and foundations. SUBSTANCE: hydroinsulating roofing material is prepared from mixture of components which are petroleum slime and filler such as clay or expanded clay aggregate dust at pH of 7.0-7.5 by heating it to 60-90 C, stirring for 20-30 min and cooling to room temperature.
