FIELD: building industry, particularly, hydroinsulation of underground structures, foundations and soft roofing materials. SUBSTANCE: hydroinsulating material is essentially mixture of petroleum slurry containing 60-80 wt.% of paraffins and ceresines and filler which is 0.1-1.0 mm clay fraction or clay filler dust, ratios of components being as follows: petroleum slurry, 50-65; and filler up to 100. Hydroinsulating material has higher water-protective properties and temperature fragility, thus making it possible to solve ecological problem of utilizing petroleum waste such as petroleum slurries. EFFECT: improved properties of the hydroinsulating roofing materials. 2 tbl
