FIELD: fire-fighting equipment, in particular, equipment for diagnostics and detection of prefire situation by monitoring the values of informative parameters characterizing the condition of air at the guarded object, and prevention of fire origination on the basis of the analysis of this situation. SUBSTANCE: measured as informative parameters are the concentrations of gaseous products of thermal destruction - CO, CO2, HCl, H2, CH4, NH3, O3, Cl2, H2S, SO2, HCOH, NOx, C6H5OH, other gas reductants and oxidizers, as well as the concentration of smoke and air temperature within the time interval from 0.1 to 60s are determined for each dependence of the informative parameters on time, at least one value of derivative. Origination of the prefire situation is judged by the results of processing of the parameter data. EFFECT: simplified procedure and provided the earliest detection of inflammation. 5 cl
