FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to fire safety and power engineering, namely, to methods of detecting pre-fire situations caused by local overheatings of electrical equipment, and is intended for warning fires arising due to faults in electric wiring, in particular faults in wiring devices. Method is based on measurement of low-boiling substances content in the protected room atmosphere embedded in a capsule with the opening temperature within the range of 80-200 °C, fixed on current-conducting parts and extracted to the environment during heating such parts to corresponding temperature.
EFFECT: technical result is higher probability of detecting pre-fire situation at early stage.
