FIELD: LIGHT SIGNALING EQUIPMENT. SUBSTANCE: optical signaling of the remaining time of glow of the green or red signal lamp of the traffic light up to switching-on of the yellow signal lamp is accomplished for the participants of road traffic by successive switching-off of two signal lamps of signalized color after a preset time interval, in this case the third lamp glows constantly. After that during the time period remaining to the change of the signal, flickering of the same signal lamps occurs in the following sequence: synchronous flickerings of all three lamps occur simultaneously, then in equal time intervals flickering respectively of two lamps and one lamp occurs, after that the yellow signal lamp is switched on. In the offered traffic light use is made of three signal lamps, the color of glow of each of them is periodically changed in the process of optical signaling depending on the color signalized in the given time interval, the colors of the lamps are changed so that two lamps glow green or red, and the third lamp glows green, yellow or red providing for glow green or red of all three signal lamps in different time intervals, and glow yellow of one of the lamps.
