FIELD: light-emitting devices for traffic control. SUBSTANCE: method involves indication of rest time for three lamps of green or red light. Lamps are located over road in one horizontal row on opposite sides of orange lamp. From given moment to moment when orange lamp is switched on, two lamps of indicated light are switched off in sequence with given time interval starting from lamp which is farthest from orange lamp. During some time interval third lamp remains switched on. Then lamps which have been switched off are switched on. During rest time, lamps blink in following sequence: all three lamps blink simultaneously, then blinks of two lamps and then of one lamp are performed for equal time intervals.
